Macedonia World Baptist Mission Works in Arequipa, Peru The following is an alphabetical listing of the churches that we as the Macedonia team have in Arequipa, Peru. We have started the majority of these churches but others work with us due to the fact that the pastor is a graduate of the Bible College or a missionary turned them over to our care. I have listed the church, its pastor, and the most pressing need that each church has.

Iglesia Bautista Amistad Avenida Los Incas Pauchacutec, Arequipa Pastors: David Bolos Cesar Copa * This church (Friendship Baptist) has now purchased land but needs to start building so that they can move on to the land. They are averaging about 50 in attendance.

Iglesia Biblica Bautista Calle Sanchez Trujillo 205 A Ampliación Paucarpata, Arequipa Pastor Aldo Asto * This church (Bible Baptist) owns its own land but needs to put a good roof on and finish its interior. They are averaging about 40 in attendance. This church is small and struggling but has been organized into a church.

Iglesia Bautista de Bolognesi Amazonas 103 Bolognesi, Arequipa Pastor Andres Ramos * This church (Bolognesi Baptist) has been without its own piece of property and meeting in rented buildings longer than any other work that we have. Please pray that God will provide about $10,000 for the purchase of a piece of land and small building. They are currently averaging about 50.

Iglesia Bautista Chivay Chivay Pastor Hugo Cruz * This church (Chivay Baptist) is up in the mountains outside of Arequipa. They are using a rented room. They need to purchase a small piece of ground. Where they are located the land won't cost very much. They are averaging about 15.

Iglesia Bautista El Faro Villa Corpac E 13 Cerro Colorado, Arequipa Pastors Chris Gardner * Edwin Quispe * God has provided a piece of land and a good start on their building. They need to finish their educational building and begin building on their auditorium. They are averaging about 75. This is an organized church (Lighthouse Baptist) and the folks are really learning to tithe and fulfill their responsibilities.

Iglesia Bautista Elim Mariano Melgar 103 San Jose de Tiabaya Pastor Walter Urcia * This is a brand new work (Elim Baptist). They need a piece of land and building. They are currently averaging about 15.

Iglesia Bautista "El Shaddai" Independencia Pastor Ricardo Calcino * This a new work (El Shaddai Baptist). God has already allowed us to purchase a small piece of property. They need to build. The church needs a wall around the property and to build several small rooms so that they can move on to their property. They are averaging about 30.

Iglesia Bautista Filadelfia Ciudad Blanca Pastor Percy Lopez * This is a brand new work (Philadelphia Baptist). They are meeting in a rented room. They need to purchase a piece of land and build a building. They are currently averaging about 15.

Iglesia Bautista Gesemani Alto de la Alianza C 19 Hunter, Arequipa Pastor Ocavio Paredes * Gethsemane Baptist church is an organized church. God has given them a piece of land which was donated by a dear Christian brother, Pastor Aldo Asto. They have a good start on their building. They need help finishing up and put the front on the church. They are averaging about 85.

Iglesia Bautista Hunter Avenida Brasilia 715 Hunter, Arequipa Teléfono (054)-44-1028 Pastors Guillermo Gardner Carlos Marquina * Miguel Murillo * Hunter Baptist Church is the oldest and strongest church that we have. They own their own land and have a good building started. They need funds to finish the front half of their building. They are averaging about 275.

Iglesia Bautista Libertad Alto Alianza 207 Miquel Grau, Arequipa Pastor Felipe Choquehuanca * Liberty Baptist Church now has a good piece of property and a nice house. They will need to finish this up and then build the actual church building behind the house. They are averaging about 40.

Iglesia Bautista Victoria Ciudad Municipal Pastor Ronald Tubillas * Victory Baptist Church is a brand new work. God has already given them a piece of land and a rustic building with a dirt floor. Pray that they will be able to build and put in a floor. They area averaging about 18 .

Primera Iglesia Bautista Mollendo, Arequipa Pastor Hector del Carpio * The First Baptist Church of Mollendo already has a piece of land. The land was donated by a very dear Christian brother, Jorge Montenegro. They need to build. They are in an old wooden building with sagging floors that is in danger of falling down. They are averaging about 15.

The following churches were started by our team and turned over to other missionaires or national pastors. Mariano Melgar was turned over to a missionary and Majes was turned over to a national missionary.

We have a Bible College called the "Seminario Bautista Independiente del Sur" or the Independente Baptist Bible College of the South. Those with an * by their name above have graduated from or are studying in the Bible College as well as the majority of those who work in the other ministries that we have. The Bible College averages about 30 students each semester.

We also have the Hunter Baptist Christian School with 100 students. This is our church's school where many of our children study. In Peru it is illegal to home school and the school has been a tremendous blessing to our folks.

Macedonia also has a children's home called the "New Hope Baptist Children's Home." We have 32 children that have all their needs met at our expense including education, clothing, housing, spiritually, etc. They are provided a wholesome Christian Family environment.

We also have a small Christian Bookstore through which we are trying to place good Bible material in the hands of our folks, especially the preachers.

God has also provided us with a printing press to start the Peru Printing Ministry. We are still getting setup and learning how to use it but plan to prepare material for our Bible College and to go to the Spanish world with the gospel.

In the very near future we plan to open the Peru Teen home for teenagers who are on the street with no where to go and no family. This will be a partner to the New Hope Baptist Children's home. We will also be opening several new churches and a radio ministry to reach the city of Arequipa. We intend to purchase and setup our own radio station. God has given us a great vision but we can't do it without you. We need more workers to surrender to come and help us. We need your prayers. We need your financial help.
