Missionaries to Arequipa, Peru

The Bolos Family...a personal testimony:

In the Spring of 1994 God led our family, the Bolos Family, Debbie, myself, David and our seven children to go as missionaries to the city of Arequipa, Peru. Located in the southern tip, Arequipa has a population of approximately 1 million people. We realized the need of a Children's Home after seeing time and again homeless and abandoned children on the streets of Arequipa with no hope, no love, and no place to go.
In September of 1995 we opened the doors to the New Hope Children's Home. The need to meet the physical and emotional needs of the children was obvious to us. But we saw a much greater need...and that was to meet the spiritual emptiness of the children which we took in our home. To teach each child of the Savior and their need of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the teaching of His Word is and has been our goal! Our vision is to see these children grow and go out to their own people someday as leaders, teaching them the wonderful truths of the Word of God. But our vision is not only for Peru, but all of South America. We have a vision of raising a generation of preachers, missionaries, and leaders that will go throughout all of South America and Latin America teaching the Word of God and being Godly leaders and examples in their communities and their homes. We now have 29 children that live permanently in our Children's Home... but we have in the last 18 months turned down at least 400 children due to lack of space! We need your help!

This is what our current home looks like.  With your help and God's provision we will be able to build a new home that will better accomodate the many children that so desperately need a home that is God centered and full of love.

We currently are renting a small two story house in a pueblo called Hunter. Our goal is to purchase land and build a home for 100 children and 100 teenagers. Please, pray with us as we are asking God to provide $80,000 to purchase land and build the children's dormitories and cafeteria.

The New Hope Children's Home is a local church faith ministry. We receive no monetary government support. Our children are sponsored and supported through the gifts and offerings of Christians and Churches in the United States and Peru.
