TRUE MEN

Who can find a man of God in a world where
they're fast disappearing?
There are a handful left of the last generation,
but ours isn't God-fearing.
I see churches full of preacher boys, and
deacons boys, as well;
Sitting on front rows, singing the songs,
many will holler and yell.
They say they are called of God to be preachers,
and some to the mission field;
But they have no depth, no real dedication,
to the Spirit they won't yield.
There are so many young men that have "convictions"
and "standards" right down the line;
But they only know what they've been taught,
they can't truly sing, "Jesus is mine."
Oh, why are these young men so outwardly
righteous, and inwardly they are so shallow?
I think it's because the seed that's been
sown fell on stony ground, not even on fallow.
So we've a generation that is following God,
until the trouble comes;
THEN we will find the true men of God, rather
than those who are in it for fun!
