You, too, can have a changed life

by W. Austin Gardner

All that God has done in the lives of these people He can do in your life. There is an answer. There is hope. The following is the same message that each of them have heard, believed and accepted. The first step is realize that you need God. You can not be saved if you do not see your own need. The Bible says that all have sinned:

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:10

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

These sins have a real repercussion in our lives. The consequences are that we will be separated from God in Hell for all of eternity. Our sins have separated us from God. And if we do nothing to fix this situation we will spend all eternity separated from God in a place the Bible calls Hell or the Lake of Fire.

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid [his] face from you, that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:2

For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:14-15

God loves each of us even though we have sinned. God does not want anyone to go to Hell. He sent Jesus to die on the cross in our place. He loves you whatever sin you may have committed.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

To be saved you must realize that you have sinned or failed the only Perfect and Holy God. You must believe in your heart that He so loved you that He sent His Only Son Jesus to die on the cross for your sins. After dying He rose again from the dead having purchased eternal salvation for you. You must believe this in your heart, repent of your sin and turn to Him.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:9-13

If you realize and admit that you have sinned and because of your sin you deserve to be punish by a Holy God you can be saved. You must also believe that He loved you so much that He Himself paid your sin debt on the cross of Calvary. He died for your sins but rose again by the power of Almighty God. If you believe that then invite Him into your heart right now. Pray something like the following:

Dear God, I realize that I have sinned against you and your Holy Word. I repent of my sin. I place 100% of my faith in you and what you did through Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. I ask you to forgive me my sins and save me. Thank you for loving me, dying for me, and saving me right now. In Jesus' name. Amen.
